Maryanne DeMarco, who founded Gallery III Designs, is the creative force behind her brand of handcrafted fine jewelry.  She taught herself everything about the business and craft of jewelry-making.  After only a year, her hobby turned into a new career.  And before long, building a loyal following of fine jewelry tastemakers, her designs are sought after for their distinctive rough luxe and classic aesthetic that is imperfect in its beauty.    

Designing and making jewelry for over 9 years, Maryanne launched her jewelry and collections in 2014.  Her design interests are global, also reflecting the city that she lives and works in--metropolitan Washington, DC: urban, culturally diverse, and infused with artistic inspiration. Her jewelry fuses Old World aesthetics with New World fashion, resulting in unique, wearable works of art.  Her favorite thing is traveling the world—and all over the United States —to collect unique jewels to sell in her shop.  

Maryanne’s vision is to create simple jewelry that appeals to a variety of women, with the goal of creating jewelry that can transition well and be wardrobe staples, like a favorite pair of jeans or a trusted handbag.  In these economic times, a woman requires more versatility from her jewelry - a necklace has to work both when she is at work, attends a dressy event, on a date Friday night or when she's at the Farmers Market on Sunday morning.  Maryanne is devoted to the development of both her fashion lines: her contemporary jewelry which includes innovative collections, and her fine jewelry, Gallery III Jewels.  She takes pride in the collection’s unique design and each piece is intimately handcrafted.  

Through her collaboration with innovators in fashion and her devotion to the beauty of fine classical design, Maryanne continues to create intriguing and complex jewelry for every woman.  Through jewelry, Maryanne set out to make pieces that molded and evolved along with the person wearing it. The treasured relationship with the piece of jewelry would become more and more precious over the years. This philosophy compelled Maryanne to explore her now signature designs and develop the look that has become synonymous with the collection.  It’s this approach that ensures the collection’s inimitability. Most importantly, it’s a pledge and promise from Maryanne that each piece is made with thoughtful integrity.

She is inspired by travel, the beach, classic styles, and the inherent beauty of her raw materials.  Using sterling silver, pewter, and various metals along with semi-precious stones and various beads.  Maryanne creates pieces that are modern, versatile, and chic with a hint of sexy femininity and bold individuality.  Her designs are born from a love of adornment.
